Shigoku oysters are innovative Pacific oysters grown in float bags that rise and fall with the tides, gently tumbling the oysters. This process mimics a good workout for oysters, strengthening their adductor muscles and resulting in firm, plump meat and a deep, clean cup.
Shigoku means "ultimate” in Japanese, and we think these unique oysters fit the bill.

These not only look good, they're absolutely packed with meat and liquor—just a spectacular little mouthful of refreshment. Strong shells are easy to shuck, though they're so polished and lovely you almost hate to take a knife to them.
These oysters came shipped w/the freshness chart inside. We left it the oysters in the ice packed box from Thursday arrival until our party on Saturday. It was SOOO amazingly fresh. Everyone loved them. We loved the size and plumpness of the oysters. Will order again but next time, should have ordered 2 bags.
I had ordered my initial Shigokus for an early Valentines gift but unfortunately there was a FedEx snafu and they arrived when we were nervous to consume them. A quick and friendly phone call later a new shipment was on its way to us which arrived quickly and perfectly. This was our second order with Taylor and will not be our last!
