The oysters were excellent. When my wife has a dozen, I know it's the right choice. Especially the packaging, in California it was a heat spell, but no casualties.

Prized for their sweet honeydew like meat brimming with sweet liquor, Kumos are loved for their clean and fruity aromas.
Grown from rare, mid-century heirloom seeds dating back to the original Japanese imports of the 1940s. Slow-grown and a labor of love these Japanese natives grow significantly slower than most oysters (approximately 3-5 years!), but some things in life are worth the wait, and Kumos are one of them!
Petite but deeply satisfying, these oysters measure approximately 1-2 inches and offer a consistently delicious oyster on the half shell.

Excellent and Fresh
The oysters we received were all excellent and fresh. They were very easy to open and had exactly the taste of the sea we were hoping for. The delivery was fast and the oysters arrived well packaged. I highly recommend Taylor Shellfish.
Kumamoto oysters
I have had most varieties of oysters, but for consistency and that briny taste that smacks of the ocean I always gravitate back to Kumamotos. I prefer then. over all others for eating on the half shell. This shipment did not disappoint. Two empty shells, but that is to be expected from time to time. I have ordered these before and most definitely will do so again. Thank you
