Prized for their sweet honeydew like meat brimming with sweet liquor, Kumos are loved for their clean and fruity aromas.
Grown from rare, mid-century heirloom seeds dating back to the original Japanese imports of the 1940s. Slow-grown and a labor of love these Japanese natives grow significantly slower than most oysters (approximately 3-5 years!), but some things in life are worth the wait, and Kumos are one of them!
Petite but deeply satisfying, these oysters measure approximately 1-2 inches and offer a consistently delicious oyster on the half shell.

I have ordered these as gifts on 3 separate occasions. They arrive beautifully packaged and FRESH! Harvest day was one day prior to shipping. These oysters are outstanding.
