Good box of assorted oysters, and something for everyone. My wife prefers the smaller ones and I like the larger ones. Eaten either raw on the half shell, (slurpers,) or grilled until they're just open, it's all good. A little melted butter and a dash of hot sauce and it's heaven on a half shell.
First off I think the idea of the "Raw Bar Experience" is very cool, everything nicely packaged and ready to go. However, while me and my guests where enjoying our oysters we encountered an empty oyster shell and at first, we thought "well, that was weird." But then it kept happening. Out of 45 we had 5 empty shells, or 11% that for whatever reason were empty. I'm not sure how or why that's possible, but here I am writing a review. I believe that the 11% empty oyster shell error rate, or duds, is too high. I would like to rate 3.5 stars, if I could, because I think the kit is better than average but definitely not worth the 4 star rating with how many empty shells we encountered. Obviously, this rating is subjective and based off me and my guests' experience-which was a little embarrassing to be perfectly frank.
