I fell in love with cioppino in San Francisco and so for a New Year’s Eve party I decided to make it. Not only was it easy and delicious but it took only minutes to put together needless to say it was a huge hit. And I’d do it again and maybe add some halibut. It’s a perfect meal kit arriving fresh and ready till event. I received mine on Friday AM and refrigerated and had it New Year’s Eve. I followed the recipe in Taylor’s recipe for cioppino wine shallots and crushed red peppers! And of course a baguette- Bon Appetite
I bought two of the cioppino kits for relatives in San Francisco and in a Wisconsin. Both relatives raved about the quality of the crab and shellfish , but lamented that they were disappointed with the amount of the broth. The best part of cioppino is dipping crusty bread in the broth. I think it would be helpful if suggestions were offered on how to stretch the broth. (My folks did add the suggested white wine). Also they thought that the broth was a bit ‘flat’ , it needed more flavor. Again many recipes offer suggestions for enhancing the flavor. Would I buy it again? Absolutely! Good value for the price, the quality of the shellfish was top notch. Thank you for offering this purchase option.
