Description
East meets West in the best possible way.
Known for their firm, full meats and unique synthesis of brine and sweetness, our Totten Inlet Virginicas are considered to be some of the finest oysters around.
Traditionally, they could only be found on the reefs of the Atlantic Coast at depths of 8-25 feet. That is, until they were introduced to the Pacific Coast in the 1890s. Notoriously finicky in our waters, they only thrive on the beaches of Totten Inlet where the algae-rich waters from neighboring Little Skookum inlet mix with the deeper waters of Puget Sound.
The taste of our Totten Inlet Virginica is so distinctly unique, when matched up against the top East coast grown Virginica at an East Coast Shellfish Growers Association competition, our Virginica won Best Flavor
Quantity: 30 count
Flavor Profile: Crisp with a firm texture and heavy briny flavors, which lead to a buttery taste, with a hint of sweetness at the finish.
Size: Approximately 2-3 inch shell. - Shipping Details
