Shigoku oysters are innovative Pacific oysters grown in float bags that rise and fall with the tides, gently tumbling the oysters. This process mimics a good workout for oysters, strengthening their adductor muscles and resulting in firm, plump meat and a deep, clean cup.
Shigoku means "ultimate” in Japanese, and we think these unique oysters fit the bill.

I had ordered my initial Shigokus for an early Valentines gift but unfortunately there was a FedEx snafu and they arrived when we were nervous to consume them. A quick and friendly phone call later a new shipment was on its way to us which arrived quickly and perfectly. This was our second order with Taylor and will not be our last!
The oysters arrived extremely fresh,cold and waiting to be shucked. The Shigoku oysters were very tasty with a nice ocean brine flavor and not too strong of a seaweed flavor. Great product
