These were a great oyster, never tried them b 4. Loved the flavor. Better that the Fat Bastards. Would buy again
Prized for their sweet honeydew like meat brimming with sweet liquor, Kumos are loved for their clean and fruity aromas.
Grown from rare, mid-century heirloom seeds dating back to the original Japanese imports of the 1940s. Slow-grown and a labor of love these Japanese natives grow significantly slower than most oysters (approximately 3-5 years!), but some things in life are worth the wait, and Kumos are one of them!
Petite but deeply satisfying, these oysters measure approximately 1-2 inches and offer a consistently delicious oyster on the half shell.
Quantity: 30 count
Flavor Profile: Bright, sweet flavors with a cucumber finish.
Size: Approximately 1 - 2 inch shell

The kumamoto oyster has long been one of my favorites. They came package together with the geoduck which we had ordered and it arrived in great shape. The kumamoto oysters are easy to shuck and the briny flavor is perfection. The only unfortunate part was that 2of the 30 ordered were empty shells. Of course I know this happens.
I ordered these to cater an "East Meets West" oyster party. These Kumamotos were delicate and bright, just as they should be. Taylor delivered them on time, fresh and cold. Taylor has the BEST packaging for mail order of any oyster house I have ever used! I'll be ordering again soon.
