I am biased on kumomoto in general. I love them. When I saw these sumo size version, I gotta have it. It did not disappoint me. Creamy and meaty... I will order it again at my next oyster party. Side note, I ordered in Oct.

Our Sumo Kumo Oysters are the larger, more refined sibling of the Kumamoto Oyster, they are twice the size and twice as wise. Aged to perfection after 4-6 years, these premium oysters offer a rich, complex flavor, making them ideal for raw enjoyment.
Grown from the same mid-century heirloom Kumo seeds in Chapman’s Cove, WA. These bivalves boast Incredible flavor – think salted honey melon, brimming with sweet liquor and sweet lime notes balanced by a light brine.

Sumo Kumo were past their prime
During the summer months, I will only buy oysters from Taylor Shellfish as the alternatives are inedible. These were good, but a little dried out, as if they were past their optimum shelf life. So three stars this time around.
Sumo Kumos
First time trying this oyster and they were amazing- so delicious. Came nicely packaged with ice packs and special coolness tracking card . Such a great idea! Can wait to try other oysters!
