Fat Bastard Oysters are the largest size of our premium Tide-Tumbled Pacific oysters. Grown since 2009, these oysters are cultivated in our tumbling bags that are affixed to floats, gently rolling with the natural tide to create smooth, deep cups.
By floating near the water's surface, Fat Bastard Oysters feed on the freshest algae, resulting in a bright, savory flavor with plenty of briny liquor.

If you love a fresh Shigoko, this is just a larger version! Very fresh and crisp with a very light melon finish. I never grilled them but raw is outstanding! I order from Taylor a lot and the oysters are always fresh...so thank you!
Loved these guys for grilling, and the durability of them. Stayed closed and lovely for raw consumption for six days (I used a cooler with them elevated over ice). We grilled them with some herb/garlic/lemon butter and everyone loved 'em.
