Fat Bastards
Just got back from Nice France. Best oysters were Fine de Claire. Looking in the US for the equivalent. Fat Bastards are really close. Haven’t tried all the types here yet but the Totten Inlet Virginia are close too.
Fat Bastard Oysters are the largest size of our premium Tide-Tumbled Pacific oysters. Grown since 2009, these oysters are cultivated in our tumbling bags that are affixed to floats, gently rolling with the natural tide to create smooth, deep cups.
By floating near the water's surface, Fat Bastard Oysters feed on the freshest algae, resulting in a bright, savory flavor with plenty of briny liquor.
Quantity: 30 count
Flavor Profile: Strong brininess with a sweet finish and firm, plump texture.
Size: approximately a 2.75 - 3.75 inch shell.

These oysters are the best. They are the perfect size, not too big and not too small. I ordered 30 and they arrived fresh and alive. I ate some and also made my favorite soup, oyster stew. Everything was perfect.
Excellent delivery experience and product…, the sooner they’re consumed, the better. I’m guessing they tend to stress and may be more difficult to pry open as time passes. Too many for a typical couple to consume in one or two days, but best live oysters I’ve purchased. Are fun for a party, especially if someone else does the shucking.
