By floating near the water's surface, Fat Bastard Oysters feed on the freshest algae, resulting in a bright, savory flavor with plenty of briny liquor.

I thought these were a bit small, and still think that. I have had a range of oysters from the absolute most fresh, to barely edible. As for taste and freshness, I would rate these five stars, among the very best. I down rated it 1 star on the size only. While the shells were all very full and plump, they were still smaller than many excellent oysters I have eaten. All that said, they helped satisfy a seafood craving.
