Lots of shell pieces in ours! That part was very disappointing and my husband almost broke a tooth biting into one of them. I would say at least 25% of them had shell fragments, and since they come frozen and you prepare them from frozen, there is no way to know or see it prior to eating. Other than that, love the concept but customer service only apologized and said ‘that happens”. I’ll shuck myself next time=no shell!
The first thing I checked if the oysters were still frozen. They were. and it was just perfect. We did not only baked the oysters with garlic herb butter, but we did oyster shot with lemon and cocktail sauce. The size of the oysters were just right. The price is just right for the 30 pieces. I would not hesitant to order again from Taylor's Shellfish Farm.
The oysters were perfect. We topped them with a spinach and cheese mixture, Rockerfeller style. My only negative comment is that the bags of frozen oysters should have been sealed so if you picked up the bag the oysters would not fall on the floor.
